I’m so grateful for the opportunities God is giving us through the planning. of our outreach team. When I interviewed here as a candidate seven years ago, one of the things we talked about as being primary was how Petaluma Christian Church could continue to reach out and make an impact in our community.
Through our Tuesday night outreaches, through Rebuilding Together, through our presence at Butter `n Eggs day, through Movies in the Park, and through each of us witnessing to our family, friends and neighbors, more and more people in Petaluma are learning about P.C.C. and the great fellowship we have with God and with each other in this 147 year old congregation.
Aren’t you glad to be part of the history of People Committed to Christ and His mission here in Petaluma? Let’s keep working together so more people will know of Jesus and His great, sacrificial love for us. Get involved in outreach!
The summer of 2012 is the perfect time. It will pass by quickly and without results if we don’t plan our ministry time as carefully as our vacation time. As Ephesians 5:15-16 says, “Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.”
Let me encourage you today to opportunistically “use whatever gift you have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10).
